Create and edit images

Pick an image model, keep your real product in the shot with a source photo, edit with a prompt and upscale. Which models to use and what they cost.

Create and edit images in the image workbench. Nano Banana 2 is the default generator, GPT Image 2.5 is the pick for sharp text and sizes up to 4K, and edits default to GPT Image 2.5. The credit cost is shown before you generate.

Which image model should I use?

  • Nano Banana 2: the default generator. Fast, reliable and a good first choice. A 2K image costs 1 credit.
  • GPT Image 2.5: best when the image needs sharp, readable text, and it goes up to 4K.
  • Other models: the model list also includes Seedream 5.0 Pro, Soul 2, Luma Uni-1 Max, Recraft v4.1 and Krea v2, each with its own look.

Try the same prompt on two models when you are unsure. The cost of each is on the button.

How do I keep my real product in the image?

Attach a product photo as the source image. The model then works from your actual product instead of inventing one. This is the most reliable way to get accurate packaging, labels and shapes. Save your products in Brand DNA so they are easy to reuse.

How do I edit an image?

Open an image, choose edit and describe the change in plain words, for example "put the bottle on a marble counter in morning light". Edits default to GPT Image 2.5. You can attach extra reference images for style or props.

Resolution and quality

  • GPT Image 2.5 offers higher resolutions and quality levels.
  • GPT Image 2.5 at 4K and Max quality need a Starter, Growth or Pro plan.
  • Higher resolution and quality cost more credits, and the button shows the price first.

Upscaling

Upscaling makes an existing image larger and sharper. It costs 2 credits per image.

Tips

  • Describe the subject, setting, light and camera angle.
  • Put any text you want in the image in quotes.
  • Start at a lower resolution to explore, then go higher for the final.
